We understand that situations may arise where a refund may be necessary. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which we offer refunds and the process for requesting them.
By making a purchase or using our services, you agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.
Collectible Item Purchases
Inspection Period
We offer a 7-day inspection period for all physical collectible items purchased from our website. During this period, you may examine the item to ensure it matches the description provided and meets your expectations regarding condition and authenticity.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return and refund on collectible items, the following conditions must be met:
- The return request must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the item
- The item must be in the same condition as when you received it (no signs of handling beyond careful inspection)
- All original packaging, certificates of authenticity, and accessories must be included
- Proof of purchase must be provided
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Items that have been opened from sealed packaging (unless the item is defective)
- Items marked as "Final Sale" or "No Returns" in the product description
- Items that have been damaged after delivery
- Special order or custom items created specifically for you
- Digital products or downloadable content
Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

- Wait for our team to review your request and provide a Return Authorization Number (RAN)
- Package the item securely with all original materials and include the RAN
- Ship the item to the address provided in the return authorization email
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you about the status of your refund:
- If approved, your refund will be processed within 10 business days
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase
- Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account
Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases where:
- The item received was defective or damaged upon arrival
- The item received was significantly different from what was described on our website
- We shipped you an incorrect item
In these cases, we will provide a prepaid shipping label and reimburse your original shipping costs.

Refund Eligibility
Refunds for authentication services may be provided in the following circumstances:
- If we are unable to provide a definitive authentication opinion due to insufficient evidence or historical documentation
- If we discover a clear and demonstrable error in our authentication assessment
- If the service is not completed within 30 days of our receipt of your item (unless a longer timeframe was specified in advance)
Non-Refundable Situations
Authentication service fees are non-refundable in the following situations:
- When we provide a definitive authentication opinion, even if it's not the outcome you anticipated
- When our assessment conflicts with another expert's opinion (subjective differences of opinion are normal in authentication)
- When additional research extends the authentication timeframe beyond the standard period (we will communicate any delays)
Review Process
If you believe our authentication assessment contains an error, please submit your request for review to authentication@rareanimetreasures.com with:
- Your authentication reference number
- Specific reasons why you believe the assessment contains errors
- Any additional evidence or documentation that supports your position
Our senior authentication team will review your case and respond within 14 business days.
Appraisal Services
Service Delivery
Appraisal services are completed when we provide you with a written valuation report for your item(s). All appraisals represent our professional opinion regarding market value based on current market conditions, comparable sales, and our expertise.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds for appraisal services may be provided in the following circumstances:
- If we are unable to provide a valuation due to insufficient market data or reference points
- If the appraisal service is not completed within the specified timeframe
- If there is a clear and demonstrable significant error in our valuation methodology (not the final value estimate)
Non-Refundable Situations
Appraisal service fees are non-refundable in the following situations:
- When the appraisal value is lower than anticipated
- When our valuation differs from another appraiser's opinion
- When market conditions change after the appraisal is completed
- When the appraisal was conducted according to our standard methodology and within the agreed timeframe
Review Process
If you believe our appraisal contains a significant methodological error, please contact appraisals@rareanimetreasures.com with:
- Your appraisal reference number
- Specific concerns about the methodology used
- Any relevant market data you believe was overlooked
Our senior appraisal team will review your case and respond within 14 business days.
Digital Products and Content
All digital products, downloadable content, guides, and online resources are non-refundable once access has been provided or download has been initiated.
The only exception is if the digital product is completely non-functional. In this case, please contact support@rareanimetreasures.com within 24 hours of purchase for assistance or a potential refund.
Shipping and Handling Fees
Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable except in cases where:
- We shipped an incorrect item
- The item arrived damaged due to inadequate packaging on our part
- The item was significantly misrepresented in our product listing
In these cases, we will refund your original shipping costs along with the purchase price.
Cancellation Policy
Order Cancellations
Orders for physical products may be canceled for a full refund prior to shipping. Once an order has shipped, our standard return policy applies.
Service Appointment Cancellations
For in-person authentication or appraisal appointments:
- Cancellations more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund
- Cancellations within 24-48 hours will receive a 50% refund
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows are not eligible for a refund
Special Orders and Custom Services
Special orders, custom research projects, or bespoke services may have specific cancellation terms that will be provided in writing before the service begins.
Force Majeure
In the event that we are unable to fulfill orders or services due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemics, or civil unrest), we will work with customers on a case-by-case basis regarding refunds or service extensions.
International Orders
For international customers, all the above policies apply with the following additional considerations:
- We cannot refund import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by your country
- International return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer except in cases of our error
- Return processing times may be longer for international shipments due to customs procedures
